About Me

Bristol, United Kingdom
I am Head of English at Fairfield High School and love working here! This is my sixth year at Fairfield and everyday continues to consolidate my opinion that we teach some of the best students in Bristol. I live locally, love cycling, cats, reading and painting. If I wasn't an English teacher in Bristol, I wouldn't mind living in Stockholm, Sweden and being an interior designer. I am also movie mad and watch at least 5 films a week. For the last three years I worked in partnership with the Watershed and lead many creative media projects for Fairfield (check out my other blog at www.mswredenfors.net).

Animation Workshop

Just wanted to put up a quick post to let everyone know how great the small group of FHS students were on Friday at the Aardman animation workshop. It was a mixed and challenging day but I think we all enjoyed the morning workshop where we met Merlin (not the wizard...I am sure he is tired of that one) from Aardman who worked with us on storyboarding. Students also met the original Wallace and Gromit! I got plenty of ideas and will be swiping some of the activities to use in my classroom. I have some definate ideas germinating about combining animation and poetry to use with my lovely year 7s. We have such great facilities at school which I know are often under used. So anyway, thanks to Reuben, Ella, Lily, Madar and Stewart for being so creative and great on Friday.
